| cut finger now lost nail. will it grow back?
My 2 year old stuck her finger in the vent and cut it from the 1st knuckle to just above the nail. Took her to ER and they said they would wrap her finger as stitches would upset her. We changed dressings as directed. The finger healed with a bit of a keloid then the base of her nail fell off, only on one side where the laceration was closest to nail bed.
Will her nail grow back? I am not so worried about the keloid, but the fact she has only half a nail running veritcally is a bit odd.
Any help would be great.
