Recently, I noticed that one fingernail (right hand, middle finger) is indented starting at the cuticle area. Does anyone know what could be the cause. I know your nails say a lot about your health. Could it be a vitamin deficiency? In May I had blood work done (as part of my yearly physical) and everything seemed to be fine. I only just noticed this indentation about a week ago. Would appreciate any input.
Hello Dancing Feet, It is usually caused from a Calcium deficiency. It is a simple labwork, so just make sure they check it when you have your annual done. Calcium and vitamin d is what keeps your bones strong so you dont want either of those low! Hope this helps! Thanks,
