Toenail ripped off. Is it infected?
 
A few days ago, I ripped the toe nail completely off my big toe while moving furniture. Everything I've read online says to clean it with peroxide, soak in epsom salt, then apply antibotic ointment and wrap loosely with non stick gauze for about a week or so. I have been doing this. Today is day 4 and my toe looks to be slightly swollen (not much), it is definitely warmer to the touch that the opposite foot and the tip and bottom of the toe is numb and tingly. I don't have any health insurance and am flat broke so trying to avoid a doctors visit if possible but don't want it to be infected. Do you think it's infected or is this normal?
