cogswell Newbie (female) Join Date: Oct 2012 Location: Coloma, MI, USA Posts: 1	Smashed nail growing out? I don't know what my daughter did but her thumb and ring finger nail look like they were half broken. All of a sudden her nails looked like they were lifted up on only one half of the base of her nail and as they grew out more it looks like they are broke and new nail are growing in. Her nail is still attached close to the tip and the other half. I have just never seen anything like this and don't know if I should be worried about it.
