I'm not from the New York area but I can tell you, you need to find a Neurologist that specializes in Neuropathy. I was seeing a Neurologist for about 2 years when a friend of mine found a new doc for me. She said he specializes in Neuropathy. I never heard of a specialist that specializes in something. I thought they're were just specialists. Anyway, this new doc ran a lot more tests- EMG, MRI, X-Ray's, genetic blood work. He has helped me a lot more than the first doc did. I hope this helps.
