Question Odd warm/burning sensation on the right side of my face?

Today I woke up with an odd sensation on the right side of my head. It wasn't numb. It is hard to explain. My right ear also felt clogged. My mother and I determined that I must have caught the sickness that was going around the house and I was congested. After a while, I ended up "popping" my ear and it did relieve the odd sensation. So that is what I thought it was.
But after a while my ear was "congested" again. A few minutes ago I popped my ear and after a few minutes a warming sensation came over my face. It stayed for about 2 minutes but it was really freaking me out. It wasn't painful or anything, it just felt really warm on once side of my face.

Imagine the right side of your face turned towards a heater. It wasn't terribly hot, but it was significantly warmer than any other spot on my body. Also, I don't think it was warm by touch, but I could just FEEL the warmth.

What could this be?

I have read that it may be related to anxiety, which is something I do suffer from, but I am not sure because it started as an odd sensation in my ear and head.
