| sudden onset parathesia
In the last week I have develped - fist tingling in my feet, then hands, then lower legs - occassionally pin pricks in my face. It comes and goes in severity. I had been recently diagnosed with a 65 percent blocked carotid artery, but no other conditions. They gave me a statin to get my chol. even lower than it is (it is already normal). but after four days I stopped because my legs hurt. Then came the tingling. I have see the doctor and they took a creatin test that was a teeny bit high, but not bad. I see my gp today - they took b12 numbers and that will not be back til next week.
Any ideas? To me it is strange that it followed the diagnosis of my artery and I was SO upset. I think if it was not the medication they gave me, it may have been my stress that triggered it. Anyone have experience with this? I am going on a road trip next week to see my family and I hope I will be ok.
I am not feeling pain, and my muscles are working ok.
I am tempted to let it go for a few weeks if it doesn't get worse, and go on my trip. I don't know!
