| Help understanding MRI results? Please...
Hi, I am a 31 year old male that has gone through quite a bit lately with neurological defficit type symptoms and strokes. I am at Mayo getting treatment and I got a copy of the Neurologists impression of my last MRI but I haven't had a chance to discuss it with him quite yet. Is there anyone that could shed some light on this stuff. I have googled it all of course but from what I do find I am slightly concerned. Obviously I hope that I am off a little and there could be a perfectly good reason for these findings in a 31 year old but I am not coming up with anything. In the report he states "Mild generalized cerebral and cerebellar atrophy. Few small chronic appearing lacunar infarcts within the ingerior right cerebellar hemisphere. No acute ishemia noted. Minimal leukoaraiosis. Low lying cerebellar tonsils which do not meet the criteria for a Chaiari malformation.
Any guidance is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
