| | Nerve Pain in back of left hand
I am so frustrated at this point! I'm 48 and since October of 12 have had severe pain, numbness and tingling in the back of my left hand that worsens when I bend my wrist down. My relief is if I bend my wrist back. No injury to it, it's not Carpal Tunnel and my X-Rays are fine. It just came on one night. It wakes me in my sleep and continues to worsen. If I bend it at the wrist and stretch it, the pain hits a 10. The pain NEVER goes away. Heat helps a little. I've done weeks of Hand Therapy, but it seems to aggravate it when we mess with it. I'm taking Norco 10/325 1-2 times a day and I hate it. Because of a previous surgery I am unable to take any anti-inflamatory drugs or Muscle relaxers. My Family Doctor sends me to a Hand Doc who sends me to a Spine Surgeon, who sends me back to the Hand Doc who says "Let's try Hand Therapy, and if that doesn't work, we'll do a Nerve Test". I do Therapy, it's worse, I call him, he sends me back to the Neurologist who sends me back to the Hand Doc who is NOW sending me to a Pain Management Doc. What happened to a Nerve test?? I can't get the Doc to talk to me and his Nurse blows me off. To say I'm frustrated is an understatement. I feel unless I call these people weekly and take matters into my own hands (no pun) NOTHING gets done! Any suggestions?
