| A question?
I have been sick for over a year, undiagnosed. It is a general feeling of being unwell. However it has affected my muscles. Basically my muscles from my torso up will not relax. It is strongly effecting my neck. Even the muscles inside my throat are overworking which is making it painful at times to speak because of the overworked muscles. I went to ENT who cleared me on everything there except some lymph nodes in neck that they don't know why they are there but are not big enough to care about. They sent me to a speech therapist to see if therapy could retrain muscles to work right. The speech therapist says that my technique is good and I am speaking correctly but my muscles are working against me and I need to get them to relax. The problem is I have tried everything. Tai Chi, Stretching, massage, speech therapy, vitamins, eating healthy, exercise, meditation, breathing exercises, chiropractor. Yet still my neck and shoulders stay very tight. It seems like all my efforts just keep the muscles from getting super bad. If I don't do these things I will get very very tight muscles to the point that my neck is swollen. It still is bigger than normal due to the tightening of muscles. I am wanting to know if there are any neuromuscular disease that can cause this. If it was just stress or me using muscles wrong I would think that the therapy and chiro would work it out but it has been over a year. Does this sound like something that could be neurological. I have pretty much ruled out autoimmune. They tested for RA Lupus and stuff like that. I have a very low SED Rate. So I feel like the only option is I am stressed beyond me knowing it. (besides my sickness I do not have a very stressful life) or my brain is telling my body to tighten up and use its muscles wrong. Any thoughts would be helpful.
