Has anyone here ever experienced body tremors just as you are in the beginning stages of sleep. The tremors wake you up and continue for about 1 min. There is no pain or achiness just trembling. Once i'm completely awakened by it, it stops....any ideas would be helpful. I am currently diagnosed with MCTD w/Polymyositis and Lupus.....thanks in advance...ElegantGI
I too have body tremors, have been diagnosed with generalized anxiety and panic disorder but cant help but feel something more is wrong. Have had mri of brain and spinal cord, shows bulging at c5 and c6 and the mri showed a non enhancing area(very small) in deep parietal tissue right side of brain that gp has stated is "probably nothing to worry about as it is not enhancing therefore not an active lesion", wll needless to say it is something that is worrying be as well as everything else going on. I have a pulsation feeling running through my muscles sometimes and jerks, quivers. Other times I have shivering so severe when it is like 80 degrees outside!!! I am going to see an endocrinologist this week and hope this could be a reason. My doctor has basically ruled out ms but I get heaviness in my arms, tingling, restless feeling all of the time, occ headaches but nothing too severe. My lab work is inconclusive for a thyroid disorder but I have read a book on thyroid disease and it states lab tests arent always a true answer. Anyone have any of these crazy symptoms. Would love to hear from you.
i also have tremors but i have relized that mine is from my diseases i have. scoliosis, lordosis, scoliosis, osteoporosi s ect. list goes on. i am also tring to get off some of my meds and that causes tremors. but yes ms definatly from what i read thru internet the sighns you say you have could be just check with a nuro.hope that helps.

I too suffer from anxiety and panic disorders and suffer many similar symptoms that you do. I have had an ultrasound to check my thyroid, and they did find a tiny "bump". The GP said it was probably nothing but just in case, she will send me to a specialist to do some tests next month. I will let you know.
The shivering and body temperature problems you suggest could be a thyroid problem. My sister has hyper? or hypo? thyroidism and suffered from shivers.
I have many similar symptoms. My head and hands shake even if I am not doing anything. I don't have muscle pains, but occasionally, I get this weird shooting pain through the back side of my head, where it almost feels like I can trace exactly how my nerves map out in a tree-like pattern.
I have not had an MRI, but may ask my GP about it. Anyways, I would be interested in hearing more about your body tremors. I will update you as well.
If anyone else has any ideas, please let us know. Thanks.
I get this too. For me the feeling is like I've been holding on to an electric drill or something else with a motor, and I keep vibrating inside from it. Another way to put it is that it's like I've been immersed in some ginger-ale, and the bubbles are popping all over. The only thing is, I'm not wet! These feelings do not go away when I fall asleep, and they interrupt my sleep terribly. It's like being in constant motion 24 x 7, like I want to tremor, but I am holding it in.
I have dystonia and other Parkinson's-like symptoms. My doctor had me increase the Mirapex to 2x per day to help them calm down. He said that I had a flair-up, and that I'm off base-line when I get this along with the other Parkinson's-like symptoms such as the stiffness, freezing-in place, slow movement, and the dystonia-spasms. He told me he doesn't want to increase, or change my medication yet.
I also had thyroid trouble before, and ended up having the left half of my thyroid removed about 3 years ago due to a pre-cancerous growth. After some minor complications afterwards, everything has been okay with that since.
Good luck, I feel for you big time!

I noticed a few changes in my body when I first developed inner tremmors and anxiety problems. Im wondering if any one else noticed any of these things.
1. I noticed bubbly or foamy urine. It seems like the degree of foam in the toilet after I wake up is in direct porportion to the degree of my tremmors.
2. The veins in my hands become very distended when I am hot. This had never happened before the tremmors.
3. I started getting bad headaches just behind my eyes. almost like eyestrain. I am 26 years old and never had this kind of headache before the tremmors.
4. Bloating....I sometimes get very bloated around my midsection that changes from day to day.
I think it is very obvious that the medical field is very lost when it comes to common problems with society. It seems unless you have something defenatly fail in your body they can not figure it out. I think this is the best way to find solutions. compare symptoms and find common traits associated with it. I have read that most of the maganesium in your body is not in your blood. so why do they base all their examinations on your blood sample. I think with the combination of caffein and alcohol or any kind of duiretics our bodies are loosing vital nutrients that blood tests are not picking up.
yrs i also have severe body tremors. the main thing i have found that i belevie to cause the tremors are, medication ,caffene and other stimmulates, i am on tylox, i have to take 750mg muscle relaxers, clozapam, still i have to put up with them, but when i go to bed, when i wake up there gone. the next mourning there back. i belevie you have to watch what kind of stimmulates you take, cut down on coffee, cokes ,tea and so forth.im on merapex to help. maybe you should ask you,re doctor about this medication it doesent git rid of them but make them easer to cope with.maybe this will help.
