Re: How long did it take to get diagnosis?
Hi Jayhawk, I was wondering if you were experiencing the problems with your calf muscles and not with your knees. I suffer from Cervical Dystonia which is severe and uncontrollable muscle spasms of the neck. It took over a yr of suffereing through muscle spasms that would cause my head to turn to the left and my shoulder would draw up to the point my chin was resting on my shoulder. It took a yr to get this diagnosis and it was my family doctor who picked up on it. By then I had lost the use of my left arm in fact my left hand touches my shoulder and it's locked in this position. That's how long it took to get a diagnosis. There is also other types of Dystonia that effects different areas or the whole body. Try researching what you can on the Dystonia and you might find some answers there especially if the problems you're experiencing are muscular.
