left leg numbness in morning - Neuropathy Message Board

Hi,
Every morning when I wake up, my left leg is numb from my knee down. There is a painful tingling over my knee and it feels numb in my calf and foot. Sometimes, it's like this when I first wake up and sometimes it starts within a couple minutes after waking up.
Does anyone know what might cause this?
