does anyone here ever wake up with big toe in severe pain with a burning sensation this has been happening lately to me?

Is the toe swelled at the joint? If so it sounds like gout.If not talk to your Dr.

If you have back problems, this could be from a pinched nerve.

it is never swollen just hurts real bad like i could cut it off i do have a pinched nerve in c67 but i diddnt think that affected that area

I get that. In my case it is definitely gout. Pain in the big toe joint (where it connects to the foot) with no swelling but it can be red and feel hot. Also the nighttime onset, which is classic for gout. Is your uric acid high?
