How much Neurontin do you take? - Neuropathy Message Board

My chiropractor is shocked that my dose is so high. I take 2400 mgs a day.
I'm 5'5" and weigh 135lbs. What is your dosage? Also, what is that other drug called that they give you to boost the effectivenss of Neurontin? I still have a lot of pain, but not nearly as much as when I don't take it.

Everyone responds differently. I got loopy @ 300mgs & was taken off it. I have high
pain tolerance & do best w/ a lo-dose narcotic prn. I know you continue to get use
to it & they keep going stronger. A friend is using 3000-4000mg a day. After 2000,
you can't just stop or cut back quick. May have a seizure. Personally, I do best w/
a jacuzzi soak 3 times a week. I sleep good those nights. They sell them for your
hm-tub too.

I am 5'0 and 105 lbs and take 2400 mgs a day. There are various drugs that could boost the effectiveness of Neurontin - including low-dosage antidepressants, anti-anxiety, or Topamax. Not sure which one you are thinking of. My doc just started me on low dose of Topamax.

I take 600mg in the morning, 300mg at lunch and 600mg in the eveing, 1500mg total. My doctor says you can go as high as 2800mg per day. My PN is caused by HIV virus.

I found that 900mg at bed time caused me to sleep longer and wake up pain free but then i started having all kinds of side effects so i stopped taking neurontin all together. I have not seen my doctor yet to try another medication. Any suggestions?
