| Re: Trileptal Hello Linda I was just prescribed Trileptal today from my neurologist. I did a little research on the internet on this medication as I always do before starting any new med. I also take Topamax but I am supposed to wean off this med as I start Trileptal. After what I read on the internet I think that I will have to wait about a week before I can start this new medication. I really don't know how my body will react to it, and I don't even want to drive while starting this. I have even read that some people have photosensitivity while taking this med. I have also read that one can develop Hyponatremia - not enough salt in your blood. Gosh, I sure don't need to start craving chips and junk food...lol But I am also concerned that I might have some problem's with my blood sugar's while taking this medication, so I will have to keep a close eye on them as I am pre-diabetic.
But I do hope that someone does come along and shares their experinece and knowledge about Trileptal. Best of Luck to you. Jeanne
