Hello, here is a brief history of my symptoms. I am a 50 yr old female. I injured my left knee a couple of years ago and recently had knee surgery which went extrememly well and really helped. I had also been experiencing severe pain in my right hip/goin area, mostly when I rose from a sitting position. I would have a very severe jab of pain, my foot and leg would turn in and I would have trouble walking for about the first 10 steps, almost as if my hip joint was out of joint. The pain was on the inside of my hip in the groin area. I mentioned this to my physical therapist and he said it could be from me favoring my left knee for so long and putting extra strain on my right side. I thought that sounded logical and just decided I would have to live with the pain. However, I have now noticed in the last two days that I have complete numbness in my right groin and pubic area. I'm wondering if I might have a pinched nerve or something. The pain is only when I rise from a sitting position and only for a few steps, once I take about 10 steps, I am able to straighten out my foot and leg and the pain subsides, but the numbness seems to be constant. It's really weird! Any suggestions from anyone? I hate to go back to the Doctor if it isn't really necessary, I have lots of medical bills now from my knee surgery, I really don't want to add any at this point. Does anyone know or had any symptoms like this? Thanks so much in advance!
