Question anyone with gastroparesis please read!

I have been dx with gastroparesis, Peripheral neuropathy, HTN, sleep apnea & GERD , I'm not diabetic, my Nero is thinking I have MS, he is going to have me get a spinal MRI & a LP, I am on Neurontin 800mg 2 2x a day. Does anyone on this board suffer with any of these problems

my feet burn all the time and I have tingly in all my toes, one toe on my left foot that is completely numb, and have pins and needles sensations on my left elbow, the finger tips on both hands have also have pins & needles sensations, and some time my lip feels like I had a shot of Novocain, and I have all these weird sensations, like ice water running down my leg or across my lower back, even down my spine, and my stomach it always stays so bloated, I'm so miserable I never want to eat and when I do it comes back up, I don't even eat that much.

I am just trying make since of all of this

I would love to hear any feedback

Thanks for your feedback Shimz

No I have never had shingles & I pray I nerve will. I had a endoscopy done, it's not that bad, the first one I had done I woke up in the middle of it (that was bad) but the second one I was knocked out through the whole test and they found that the lower esophageal sphincter had to be dilated,
and they also had to remove a polyp. I'm still having problems though, maybe someday they will find out what the heck is going on!

Thanks again

Re: anyone with gastroparesis please read!

I have had all of those symptoms and more at one point. It turns out I didn't have MS or lupus and the tenative dx is Fibromyalgia for now. Each symptom has been treated on its own and everything has cleared up except the neuropathy. I still have gastric upsets at times but nothing extreme. I am not taking meds for HTN at all now.

It can really be frustating when you have all those symptoms going on at once. It's amazing how incredibly lousy you can feel and then have severe pain too. A dx can help but it seems like oftentimes they are ruled out rather than a firm dx being made (except for diabetes). But of course, you would like to know what is causing all this and if it going to get worse, better, stay the same, etc.

I think once you have your tests done and the docs can get a better picture, you will start having some relief with your tx. It's a scary time while waiting for results and the tx always seems to take time to be effective. Hang in there!

I was also dx with Fibromyalgia, I use to think that, that was just easy for Doctors to label you with, but over the years I have done research on it and it is real and I do have all the sx's, but now the Doctors are suspecting MS, and that really scares me, but I would be happy just to get a solid DX so I will stop thinking I'm crazy, It is embarrassing to tell the Doctors all my sx for I have so many.

I'm taking
ACIPHEX (for GERD) Thank God for this one, it stopped my breathing problem I was having.
DIOVAN (HTN)
NEURONTIN (FOR NERVE PAIN 800mg 2 2X a day

Thanks again

Re: anyone with gastroparesis please read!

I just had my upper endoscopy done they told me to take prilosec for a 30 days and they removed a small polyp. What is a polyp is that the cause of my aicd reflux symptoms? I think my meds last year could have cause the polyp growth ?

Thanks
sp
