Woried..abnormal level of protein in blood - Neuropathy Message Board

My neuro calld today and said he wanted to repeat some bloodwork....high protein can indicate MGUS. or even multiple myeloma..I am panicking, Has anyone else had this in their bloodwork..he said it made sense with my neuropathy. Thank you...God bless..Sharonn

It would be best to rule out any other condition that may have caused the abnormal protein result but this is common in those with polyneuropathy.

Try to stay calm though I know it's hard. I remember once a blood test showed I had a very high white cell count and that's all I could think was that I had leukemia. By the next test, it was back down.
