Hi - In the past I have had troubles with my elbow, forearm along the outside and my hand, including numb fingers (ring and pinky) this I assume was from the ulnar nerve asnd cubital tunnel syndrome. Currently those symptoms are quite under control - but another symptom I have had in the past and one that is bothering me now is that on the outside of my hand and pinky finger it is quite tender and hurts (I do have a lump around the area where the pinky meets the hand (at the joint on my palm side) that can be sensitive if pressed on which in the past a doctor at my health center (i'm a college student) said was probably some kind of cyst that wasn't a big issue.

Do you think that the soreness along the outside of the pinky and coushy part of the palm along the same side could be related to ulnar nerve trouble? Even when other symptoms are OK i.e. no numb fingers.

Another possible pertinent piece of info could be that about a year and a half ago I came down with reiter's syndrome from probably bad food which also includes reactive arthritis as a symptom, and maybe tendon imflamation?.

Any info you might be able to provide would be greatly appreciated as this pain is deterring some progress with my school/work as a computer science grad student.
