| New info neuropathy treatment(s)
Attn Roxie2007 & other fellow sufferers: Last week dr added mild antidepressant for pain management to my reg treatment plan. Pamelor, 25mg at bedtime. Took about 5 days befor seemed to get full benefit. It's a tricyclic antidepressant, chemical name nortriptyline HCI. Can't remember generic name had my prescription filled under, but that does seem to vary dependin on pharmacy. As wit any med/supplements, dr needs to kno all you're already takin, includin OTC, as not safe to tak right after myocardial infarction, and can diminish affect of some antihypertensive meds. (Did my homework) I'm takin neurontin 600 mg 3X, dr also added mildest dose of ambien, every other night for a month to see how that works, as i hav extreme pain if don't fall asleep quickly enuf (catch 22, pain keeps me from fallin alseep sometimes).
