Neuroathy - could this be me? - Neuropathy Message Board

I have begun to notice a tingling in my right foot - not the left. I first noticed this about 3 weeks ago, at which time, my doctor prescribed a leg exercise.

This worked, and I was free of this symptom for over two weeks, at which time I was on vacation. He also suggested that I change my shoes, which I did.

Yesterday while at home, I felt it once more. However, when I sat on the bed, leg elevated, it went away.

What is going on here? I am deathly frightened about neuropathy. My father died in agony with this disease. At the very end, his feet swelled up all black and the doctors wanted to cut them off (he died before this happened).

He lived in excruciating pain for many years. And no, he didn't have diabetes. I am very frightened.

Can you please help me?
