I was actually diagnosed with CMT at age 30. I am now 44. My MDA doctor actually just made me quit working after all these years. I sent in all my test results and doctors reports and applied for my disability, after only two weeks I had been approved. So, yes, I believe that you will be able to get disability.

i have hnpp and had it a while, it is a disability but the department for work and pensions (DWP) have stated to me that as it is not all ways present (havent always got drop foot/walk or cant use my hands) that they wont help! they also stated that if it become permenat, then they would re look at the condition!!
