no feeling on bottom of foot and toes

I had a large wound in between my achilles tendon and my ankle bone. It happened in the Dominican republic and they just stitched me up. I know have no feeling on foot bottom after 3 weeks. Is there a chance I will get feeling back to the bottom of my foot or will this require further operations?

Re: no feeling on bottom of foot and toes

There is no way to know the answer to your question. Sometimes nerves reconnect after being cut, but sometimes they don't. It can take years before you'll know. Consult with a physician about what you can expect!
