| Sudden foot itch and hard coughing
In the last two years I have started experiencing something strange and very inconvenient. It starts with a sudden deep itch in my right foot. I then get a tickle in my throat that turns into a heavy cough. I cough so hard my chest starts to burn. I sometimes cough so hard I throw up. I have to dig at the itch on my foot to get the cough to stop. At least that is what I do. I don't know if it really helps the cough but it makes the itch go away. Anyone have this or have any ideas how to stop it. My internist just shook her head and said she never heard of this. She did change my allergy med from Zertec to XYZal. I have year round allergies and am allergic to wheat.
