Had my EMG test done, what does " Radiculopathy " ?

Can someone give me alittle info as to what this " Radiculopahty " Mean.
My Doc who gave me the test told me it show Mild Radiculopahty at L5 S1 .

Will this get better on its own, and i guess this is why i am having problems with weakness and pain in leg ?

thanks mIke

Re: Had my EMG test done, what does " Radiculopathy " ?

It just means a nerve/s root or close to the root of the nerve is irritated for some reason, it can cause referred pain, sometimes people benefit from different therapies like, anti inflammatory drugs or physio and i have even heard of acupuncture helping as well, but best talk to your doctor about your case.
