low blood pressure or nerve problem?

Hello there i have a question concerning what i'm feeling, i'm not really sure whats going on, i know i've always had low blood pressure it runs in the family, but this time my symptoms are really bad, i feel really dizzy and confused, my vision is not normal and i have this strange heavy feeling in my body and down my spinal cord, like someone is pushing me forward or backward and its hard to balance myself, my balance is off, recently i'm feeling like i'm bloated and heavy in my abdomen/pelvic area and in the kidneys, i have non stop muscle spasms and pain in my nerves like burning that stays for a little bit then it leaves, i thought i had inner ear disorder so i went and checked with an ear doctor and took medication however i did the ear test and my ears were perfectly fine...i would love to hear any feedback, sorry for the long list of symptoms, and thanks again

Re: low blood pressure or nerve problem?

It is possible you have something autonomic in nature, and for some neuropathy does play into it. What you're describing sounds a lot like pre-syncope - where a person comes close to fainting but doesn't actually faint. The bloated feeling could be blood pooling or GI issues.

You need thorough blood sugar testing, thorough thyroid testing (not just TSH), checked for electrolyte inbalances, and any possible vitamin or mineral deficiences.
You may also want to ask your doctor about a tilt table test and wearing a holter monitor to see if anything is happening during the times you feel lightheaded/dizzy.
