Hard to say without xrays, possible myelopathy but it needs to be checked out properly to find a definate cause, any neck movement restrictions ?

Re: Shoulder pain down arm and hand /numbness in hand

hi. sounds like impingement syndrome. I have had this happen to me twice. the first time it was caused by repetitive motion in my job. the second time i was trying to help guide a loveseat through a doorway, had my arms up over my head and my 200lb son gave it a push which again strained my shoulder. Easy to dx by an orthopaedist. took two shots of cortizone the first time to get the swelling down and 3 shots the last time.
