if it is what im thinking of, its performed by sticking an instrument into the perineal nerve. the instrument is the exact same size of a needle. you shouldnt feel this since you have drop foot. they basically send electro-shocks to the nerve to see if there are any muscular movements.
i could be wrong, but i think this is the procedure you are talkin about.
my foot drop is from a football injury about 4 years ago. had a nerve transplant that didnt work. so now i have a tendon transfer. this is a procedure that disconnects the tendon that controls the inward movement of your foot and reconnects it to allow that muscle to lift your foot.
