Neuropathy - Neuropathy Message Board

Hello, I have tingling, numbness and weakness in both feet and hands. I had nerve conduction tests and the Doctor says that there is some neuropathy but not enough to cause the weakness. I was told maybe it is physiological but I went to a physiatrist and he said that after all his test that it was not. I have had this since March 3, 1998. At first they thought I had a stroke but again all the test came out ok. I am going for physio 3 times a week and I am still tingling, numb and weak. I was wondering if any others had what I have. I wish I new of a neurologist that could explain this to me.

Are you on any type of statins for cholesterol control? These have been known to cause this in certain people . It stinks I have living with this for the last 3-4 years , it drives me nuts . I believe taking lipitor caused all this , never had any kind of problems like this before taking that stuff .

Gerry - Just wondering.....have your doctors ever checked out your back to see if a nerve is being pinched there? Have u have an MRI?

I did have any MRI but only of the brain, not on my back. I know that all my muscles are very stiff and the tingling and numbness and burning feeling is still there. I am going to physio five time a week .
