I have been suffering from with neuopathy for 18 months now. I found out in January I am Diabetic Type 2. My question to you out there is with your neuropathy do you experience muscle tremors at times? Last night I could feel a "kicking" sensation in my left calf. I have little "vibrations" and "twitches" throughout the day. It is very annoying and was wondering if this is just part of the crazy world of PN or maybe I have a couple of things going on.

twitching, spasms, creepy crawling, tickles, and all sorts of odd sensations are connected to the neuropathy. i haven't a clue why but maybe someone who has more knowledge than i do will stop in and explain some of it if it is possible to explain.

I would check with my doctor and see if you had either restless leg syndrome and/or PLMD (periodic leg movement disorder). They are different. What you are describing sounds more like the first. They can give you something like Klonopin (Clonazepam is the generic form) at night. If it is PLMD then something like Requip can treat that. They usually will give you a sleep study to determine which it is.

Since there are other conditions that may have similar symptoms, you need to see your doctor and if they agree then have them schedule a sleep study for a diagnosis.

I have been diagnosed with neuropathy for 6 months now. If I flex my toes and fingers while at rest in bed the next thing will be the twitching of the toes fingers and face. I've had the nose wiggle, lip wiggle, arm flinging, after awhile you just gotta laugh at it, what else can you do. One time while at a stop light it felt like someone knocked the wind out of my midsection, very weird.

hi cathy, what type of neuropathy have you got? you can read about my story in my other post. i have the twitching, its horrible. mainly my legs, i can see it moving, love april xx
