I had a follow up visit w/my PA since I've been taking the 2 Pramipexole 0.25mg tabs before bed for a few weeks now.....let them know I've also adjusted my Neurontin so that I "save" 2 doses to take w/my Pramipexole but in doing so I'm not getting my full doses @ 6:30a and 3p.
She asked if my RLS is any better and I directed that question to K since she is the one dealing w/it as I sleep through some of it. K told her that it is much better even though some nights I do have some leg issues due to my RLS but all in all it is much better.
So then the talk switched to my Neurontin...talked w/her about not sleeping real well and she agreed it was probably due to the RLS and my PN pain. K asked if I could take OTC Sleep Pill ie Unisom and the PN preferred not..said maybe Benedryl might help...but wanted to add another dose of Neurontin to my prescription so that I wouldn't need to "save" doses like I had been. She talked about adding one dose BUT what I didn't catch till the ride home WAS that she thought I was on 300mg of Neurontin....so her idea was 2 300mg @ 6:30/11a then 3 300mg in the evening....so w/that in mind I'd be taking less then I am now...realized when I got home she didn't see on the piece of paper she gave/in the pt notes my correct dose is 600mg x 3 doses a day which would have me taking the max dose of Neurontin.
I just got off the phone w/her and boy was she confused AND confusing to talk w/....as of now we are keeping my Neurontin the same....not sure how I'm going to adjust...THINKING 1200mg @6 and 11 and 600mg @3p and 9p which I will also take my Pramipexole 0.25mg tabs and maybe a Benedryl and see how it goes. She did mention that if the Benedryl doesn't work we might see about putting me on Cymbalta on top of the Neurontin and Pramipexole.
All I want is a day w/o awful pain and be able to sleep at night.
I'm now a bit frustrated w/the whole damn thing.
