I live in Phoenix, Arizona.

This disappoints me...doctors are supposed to be there to help us w/our issues NOT ignore them...esp if there are things you think will help/or answer questions ie an MRI for you.

The depression and suicide are bigger issues and ones that should be addressed as soon as possible...over here we have hotlines you can call for help...not over there?

NOT being pushy or trying to step over the line w/help...but found this that might be able to help you

after reading about piroxicam it sounds like it is something that MIGHT help so I hope you give it a shot...can't hurt to try and you never know it MIGHT help you..which I'm hoping for.

TRY and stay positive..I know that is easier said then done BUT worrying isn't going to help you at all....(remember I've been to 4 different Neurologists so can relate w/being disheartened)...

is it just heat or pain w/it? I've never tried acupuncture before.

I try and bike about a 1mile a night...helps me loosen up my ankles a LOT and agree that you can find a LOT of info when searching...and this board can help a LOT also.

they live at venice beach. Im going to kick up a stink with the head doctor and if that doesnt work i will go above his head. I dont want to because it adds to my issues but i feel i must. I live in scotland so will have to do something else on that hotline but when i try to confront my issues it makes me worse. So i dont know what to do.

I got heat and pain. Increased on both scales
I still really need to exercise but im really wary of what might do me harm.
Thats why i need a specialist. Im going to phone the head guy now will keep you posted

You for sure need to raise hell! They have to listen to you...and keep talking until they listen...you are the most important one in this game between you and them.

I'm w/you...my pain/numbness is usually on both sides...I use my exercise bike nightly..going on 2 weeks straight I'm up to 1.25miles now..I know not much but figure any amount is good...and man, my ankles POP during my ride...not sure why but esp on my right side.

TRY and stay positive....know you are NOT alone and if you need to talk post up or pm me here.

No... BUT I don't ride that long of a period at once...have your tried to ride for shorter periods? ie do 5mins a few times a day to get your 20mins in. Maybe then it won't put so much stress on your feet.

Remind me...have your tried Lyrica or Neurontin?

ok will do the shorter periods.....tell me do you try it bare foot? I have difficulty wearing shoes and socks so i try it bare foot. not sure if this is good or bad.
I am on gabapentin 300gm (form of neurontin). I did ask them to increase to mg but they refused.

I havent tried lyrica..should i? I tried the second level on the bike but maybe i should try the lowest again.

I'm usually bare foot also...after working all day my ankles are usually swollen so I get my shoes and socks off as soon as I can...so w/you on the difficulty of wearing those.

OK me too..that is a LOW dose, hell..I take 3600mg a day and going to ask to be up'd next week. I used to take 2 600mg @ 6:30a/11a and 3p....but doc said taking some later would help me sleep..so now 300mg @ 6:30 and 3p....so want to take 1200mg at 9p on top of my regular times....OR get something to help me sleep.

I used to be on it and LOVED it...stopped due to Insurance reasons..recently went off Neurontin and tried it again but didn't help as much as the Neurontin so stopped Lyrica and jumped back on Neurontin,

I really hope you can find some relief.
