I get this pain in the heel of my foot when i first step on it, especially in the morning, worried it is some type of neuropathy or trapped nerve similiar
to carpal tunnel but of the foot,,? can anyone help me with a diagnosis??
thanks
Hi catlady
THis sounds like plantar fasciitis to me. It can be a bear to get rid of, but your doctor can help with some solutions. It was imperative for me to get a pair of shoes that had a moulded footbed to support the foot. It is also a good rule to never ever go barefoot.
There is a night splint that can be worn at night to keep the foot in a flexed position.
I hope you go to get some help as the longer you leave it the longer it will take to go away. I had mine for 2 years.
I am sorry that you are suffering- if it is indeed plantar fasciitis! In any case it needs to be diagnosed by a doctor.
Good luck and best wishes
Daisy
