Unhappy Lip Biopsy to test for Sjorgen's Disease

Hi
I hope I have made the right choice in having the biopsy. I go on Thursday at noon. I had the other test with dye injected into my salivary glands..waiting on results. I have the dry eyes, mouth. The specialist I go to said that I have small fibre neuropathy & NSVN due to inflammation.
So I think this means that it is autoimune disease? Wish me well,i have heard this is painful. If you have any tips on this...please share.
thanks June

Re: Lip Biopsy to test for Sjorgen's Disease

Hi June - I certainly do wish you well, although for me personally there seemed no point in having such tests to confirm Sjogren's--that is if I have dry eyes and dry mouth, well there is no cure for that whether I have a label of Sjogren's or not. In either case all that can be done is to treat the symptoms. So many of these diseases are often associated with each other, like SFN and Sjogren's. Hugs - Ruby

June,

The test is not really painful in my opinion. I had it done several years ago and everything was done in a few minutes and I was fine afterward.
