| Re: Cortisone shot for tarsal tunnel syndrome
[QUOTE=legalbeagel;5122382]Hi, has anyone had a cortisone shot for tarsal tunnel syndrome. I need one in the right foot and don't know if they hurt and what kind of help I can expect from it. Due to swelled tarsal tunnel nerve near the ankle, my foot has numbness, tingling, swelling, and curl inward. Anyone had this cortisone shot?[/QUOTE Hi, I have had cortisone shots in both feet but for plantar fasciitis. It was the most painful shots I have ever had in my life. But it did knock out the inflammation within a couple of days and relieved my pain.
However, I read that it can cause other problems.
You need to research in your case, the need for cortisone for tarsal tunnel syndrome and the risks in doing so.
I wish you the best in whatever decision you make.
