| | Abdominal neuropathy/neuralgia???
I developed burning abdominal pain in late November. I thought it was gastro-related. I had colonoscopy & stomach scope & was diagnosed with mild gastritis. I thought the cause of the pain had been discovered & was so hoping the Proton Pump Inhibitor as the solution to my problem.
The PPI did nothing to help the pain. GI doctor said it was not gastro-related.
My PCP said it is abdominal nueralgia & prescribed seroquel. The anti-depressant seemed to work for a while but it stopped. I also developed tingling in my feet.
I have had 3 acute episodes of knife-like pain. Each time the pain was a 10 on the scale of 1-10. I threw up brown liquid which I've been told was bile.
Someone please tell me what to do?!! Should I see a neurologist???? I can't seem to find any helpful info about treatment.
I am prescribed 150 percocet 10/650 per month as well as neurontin & fentinyl patch 25 mcg. With all that, I am still in horrible pain!!
I had two abdominal CT scans in the past 5 months & numerous stomach x-rays. All were normal.
Thank you in advance for your advice/words of comfort.
