Does anyone have histadelia or pyroluria?

Hi,

I've just put a similar post to this in the mental health forum.

I'm looking for more information about histadelia and pyroluria, symptoms and treatment etc.

I'm finding it hard to find info about these conditions and I'd greatly appreciate any advice!!

Thanks.

Re: Does anyone have histadelia or pyroluria?

Hi Poorly Girl,

I've known people w/these conditions who were helped by the Pfeiffer Treatment Center in Illinois. They also have outreach clinics across the country.

IME, the main treatment for pyroluria is extra B6 + Zinc.

Nutrition and Mental Illness : An Orthomolecular Approach to Balancing Body Chemistry by Carl C. Pfeiffer, M.D., Ph.D. If I recall correctly, this book has some sections that talk about pyroluria & histadelia.

Best wishes.

Re: Does anyone have histadelia or pyroluria?

Histadelia is found in people who have high blood histamine levels, they are considered to be under-methylated. People with high histamine levels tend to be obsessive compulsive, depression, perfectionism. good response to SSRI medications, addictions. Pyroluria or pyrrole disorder is found in people that have high level of kryptopyrrole in their urine. Elevated kryptopyrrole creates poor stress tolerance and poor anger control. Anxiety, severe mood swings and depression. Light, noise and tactile sensitivites. Your body is depleted of B6 and Zinc. There is a lab their web site is url removed
