Red face I have trouble eating healthy...

O.k...

There are A LOT of threads regarding this topic, so I'll keep it brief...

I have trouble eating healthily...

Fruits...Vegetables...anything to improve your quality of life, I don't eat...

It wasn't too bad of a problem growing up (I hid it VERY well) but now, I am in a stage in my life where what I eat is essesntial to how I live.

My physical, mental, and even emotional being is starting to be compromised by this very unnerving fact that I cannot eat what the rest of the world eats.

It isn't like I don't want to eat healthy, I have tried, but to no avail, everytime I try, I am controled by my psycological barricade...

I am sick and tired of being left in the dark, I WANT to eat better, and I will do whatever it takes to accomplish this, I just need to get past myself to do it...

Does anyone have any advice?

try adding ensure at least 1 daily to your eating

You are not alone! I never liked or would eat on a regular basis, the fruits and veggies everyone claims you must have. Duh, I am over 60 and still doing well on my own eating patterns, which does not include fruits or veggies. I may have a can of V8 low sodium 1-2 month and then go months without. Sometimes I get some veggies in Lean Cuisine but only those I like. You won't find fruit in my house. I don't entertain either.

In more recent years we have been bombarded with food advertisements, print articles, etc. and the advice keeps changing. I am so sick of seeing tv, magazines, etc. touting food, wine, and exercise as if that is all there is to life! Well, excuuuuuse me! I eat what I need and my body likes to keep me going. I don't make it an obligation that I must have xyz to be like everyone else......

So don't be so hard on yourself. You and your body will find the right combination.
