Re: what is causing my body to tingle after hyperparathyroid surgery?

I have gotten them check and they are fine. I am taking Caltrate twice a day. The tingling and numbness started after the surgery. I have had 3 blood test and today I am seeing a neurologist. I am very active and just had the surgery on 4/15. I was expecting to feel like a new person. My calcium was at 11.2 and my pth was at 158, however, everything is supposedly normal now. Could it be they hit a nerve during the surgery. It is getting worse everyday and I am becoming more moody due to it. It is actually painful at times.
