Not gaining weight! Hi, i am a 23 year old guy with a weight of 53 kilos and my height is 5 ft 8 inches. The problem with me is that i am too skinny. I do little exercise drills daily as well in the morning...(pushups, bench presses, squats with out dumbbells and jumps as much as i can do). It just doesn't seem to help. Here is my daily eating routine. Since food here is different so couldn't so couldn't come up with the calories: 6 breads(2 morn, 2 for lunch and 2 dinner)(seldomly eat rice) 2 cups of milk tea a curree(either chicken, or a vegetable) Potatoes for the night. Now i think that i do eat well enough...but this darn body is not gaining weight. Tried being a slob for someweeks... only made my tummy to come out. PS: Hope this the correct section to post this thread. |
Re: Not gaining weight! As far as I can tell you have no fat in your diet. I'm talking about necessary, unsaturated, healthy fats. With all that exercise and no fat I can understand why you are not gaining weight. Also, you have a lot of starch in your diet with bread and potatoes. Are these things what you eat daily? Olive oil, avocados, and nuts are a few sources of healthy monounsaturated fats that are good for us. High quantities of Omega 3 will contribute to a more healthful condition as well. These can be found in things like salmon, sardines, flax oil and walnuts. Jen |
Re: Not gaining weight! Thanks for the reply.Yeah. This is what i eat daily. The bread part is nearly constant. The curree is switched between chicken and vegetables. Its like 2 times we have vegetables very week. Will give the nuts thing a try. Will post an update. PS: Is margarine or butter good enough? I can change the 2 bread+tea breakfast in to Jam+butter/margarine. |
