Most effective diet pill

Can someone please help me? I had a baby 7 months ago and I gained 60 pounds during my pregnancy. I have lost 12 with atkins, but I cant loose fast enough. I am getting married in January and I refuse to walk down the aisle looking like a huge beast. I am currently at 215. Even if I loose 30 I will feel so much better about myself. what is the most effective diet pill out today?

I'm a big believer in eating right for your type. And since I don't know your type, I'll offer a quick couple of suggestions. You can go the way of the diet pill, but they have long ranging side effects down the road. Any drug that messes with the neurotransmitters of your brain can be a problem later on. Many of today's depressions are linked to drugs taken earlier in life, such as diet pills, high blood pressure drugs, etc. If you have blood pressure issues you'll want to stay away from diet pills, including ephedra.

Anyway, I lost 50 pounds the first 3 months and 3 pounds more or less every week for a total loss of 120 pounds in 10 months by doing the following:

1200 calories a day of lean meat, green veggies, only 2 fruits, no dairy, bread, or sugar. This sounds rather odious, BUT....the secret ingredient is amino acids taken in the form of high protein drinks. They absolutely kill the hunger pangs, and enable you to stay merrily on a low calorie but nutritious diet till the weight is gone. I have 3 fruit drinks during the day, and a hot mocha at bedtime. I sleep well, and never crave anything or feel deprived. Two disclaimers though...1.) a friend tried it and hated it. Turns out she did better on a lesser protein, more vegetarian diet. 2.) If you do it properly, the cost of the drinks might be more than you are willing to pay. But I gladly pay it, for it is a true miracle for me. It is the ONLY way that has ever worked for me. When you get to the weight you want, you add the calories back in, and if you want to discontinue the drinks, take amino acid capsules, especially L-Glutamine, which conquers the sweet tooth.

Hope this helps some. I have an aversion to diet pills such as phentermine, as they left me with unwanted problems. Good luck.

Can you tell us what is in the fruit drinks? What kind of high protein shake do you drink? Please let me know as your way of eating sounds great to me. Thanks in advance.

When I first went on this way of eating in 1996, I went to a weight loss clinic, and they prescribed the protein drinks. At that time I paid full price (it was a money maker for them, of course) at $15 a box...7 drinks to a box. I cringed at first but when the weight starting melting off so impressively fast, I stuck to it. I reasoned I was spending less money on eating out or buying excessive snacks.

When I went off this way of eating, thinking I'd never be fat again, and that I could do it on my own, and not taking the extra amino acids, I eventually gained almost all of the weight back. I have found a doctor that sells the drinks online for $9 a box. This means each drink is now about $1.30 instead of over $2.00. I don't want to "advertize" per board rules, but his name is Dr. Padla. There are a variety of flavors, plus some solid items such as biscotti for instance.

You can try making your own with whey protein and flavors, but there is something in the packaged drink that kicks it up a notch. They simply work better than anything I could make. Money was an issue for awhile, and I tried everything to copy the one that worked. I added diet jello powder, guar gum, orange flavored metamucil, and other "fillers", but I just couldn't get it right.

Anyway, all you can do is try.

I am interested in knowing what were the different drinks that you had. I am desperate and will try anything at this point.
