| stomach stapling?
I was at my gyn's today, and talking to my midwife she mentioned that she had a form of gastric surgery (don't remember which one she had) She also talked with me about the possibility of me getting it done (me, 5ft2, 256 lbs, BMI 46.2) my insurance covers the whole thing, I don't know about the extra-skin-removing operations after. Everyone I know seems to think this is drastic. but ive tried diets, exercise, everything. ive been fat all my life, and when i was in high school was when i hit morbid obesity. i have an appt. to talk to my regular md on wednesday... kinda nervous, seeing as i have a 5 month old, my fiancee works 5am-3pm (no work = no $) so im not sure who i could get to help me with her. anyone have any info on postop stuff? i looked online but didnt find anything re:limits on lifting, when it can be done, etc.
