| Re: weight problem
to temporarily lose weight yes you can reduce your calories and lose weight, mostly muscle will be lost in the first couple of weeks, you can tell if it is muscle by the scale, if the scale says a large amount of weight lost but only losing one size or less you have lost muscle.
fat is bulkier, 3 pounds is a size, muscle is denser and heavier and takes up way less space, so you can lose by famining, but it will not be permenent. your body will eventually resist your efforts at mainteance since unfed hunger is maladaptive or works against survival and your body will not allow that, not without a fight.
some manage to keep up the fight against their bodies and maintain a fairly reduced weight, the trouble is these are called anorexics.
can I give you a suggestion? don't ever lose weight to get or keep a guy, if he loves you he would not want you to hurt your health for the sake of vanity. he is not worth it and really you are too young to worry about a relationship, you have alot of growing up to do mentally emotionally and hopfully spiritually. do not set yourself up for dissappointement or to be used by guys, I seen such sad things my whole time during jr high school and high school.
you need to concentrate on being a kid and your education, you will have plenty of time with getting a guy and hopefully spending the rest of your life with. in the future once you realize what you really want out of life. don't get on the diet treadmill and all it's horrible misery it causes honey, you deserve better.
north carolina by the way is a beautiful state.
