I agree, you don't have to have an enlarged thyroid to have thyroid problems. I would believe the endocrinologist, as it is his or her specialty, over the family doctor. The endocrinologist looked at your bloodwork, noted your symptoms, and prescribed thyroid meds based on that information. How do you feel?
What you should do any time you have tests taken, is ask for a copy of the results. Don't accept "oh, everything is fine" or anything else they might tell you. See for yourself. If you are unable to interpret the results, you can research it, ask your doctor to explain, or ask questions on these healthboards (the thyroid board seems especially knowledgeable).
