yo-yo dieting is very hard on the metabolism. Some studies actually show that it's worse than not dieting at all.

You will need to pick a weight loss strategy and STICK WITH IT through tough times and easy. I highly recommend the Fat Flush Plan by Ann Louise Gittleman as it is not so much a weight loss plan as a healthy eating lifestyle.
And babe, until you are willing to change the lifestyle that made you fat on a PERMANENT basis (and not just temporarily as in 'dieting') chances are you will be locked in the yo-yo diet syndrome.
Think of it like this...it's your LIFESTYLE that made you overweight. Temporary fixes cannot prevent weight gain if you go back to that lifestyle.

It isn't easy to make lifestyle changes (or else we'd all be able to lose weight whenever we decided to!), but in the long run, it's the healthy thing to do.
I decided that a fat middle age followed by a probably-all-too-short old age in a nursing home was NOT the future I wanted.

So I bit the bullet and made a permanent lifestyle change. Flushed 57 pounds in a little more than 6 months and have kept it off for over a year. I've never been in better health. wahooooooooo!
Brownies are good, but they aren't worth dieing for.
best wishes,
