My best friend had Gastric Bypass surgery 3 years ago- she has experienced nothing but problems since then. You are not that morbidly obese at your height and weight- I would seek a controlled nutrition plan and excersize program to lose the weight- I am 5'7" and at my highest I weighed 230- I lost 74 lbs in a year by implementing a diet and excersize program, drinking lots and lots of water and sticking to it. (I had carried that weight for 10 years so I know its not easy- but it can be done.)
My friend has had 3 surgeries since her GP- to control excessive ulcers, and esophogeal bleeding. She is also diabetic- not a good thing, since she can only eat about a tablespoon of food in an hour.
I would re-think this and get more opinions before you do something like this.

I have tried diets and have co-morbitities that make weight loss difficult (thyroid problem, sleep apnea, High blood pressure, pre-diabetic) anyone else?
Thanks in advance. |
