Hang in there

Your approach of one day at a time is a good one - it works too! I read some stuff this spring about visualization; it really stuck with me and I use it now when times are tough (dealing with hypoT as you are - very frustrating). Elite athletes use techniques that allow themselves to see that moment where they are on top, where they have reached their goals, and this helps them get there. Did you know that your brain cannot tell the difference between something that you have experienced and something you have imagined in vivid detail? By imagining yourself being successful you can then start acting how that person would act and before you know it, you're that person. It sounds a little hoakey, but it really works. Kind of like "If I act as though I am I will become"
