Thanks for your reply. I love the book. Body for Life goes over the proper eating and then it really talks about the workout part. Weight lifting and 20 minute cardio every other day with one day off. The book Eating for Life really talks about the eating. I got this book from the library. they are both written by Bob Phillips. This is just my 2nd day, but I have stuck with it and I definitely feel like I am over eating. I think it is all about smaller portions, and every meal has protein, carb, and veggie. Then you have 3 snacks, mid morning, afternoon, bedtime. He has a list of different snacks and also protein bars and drinks. Who knows if it will really work for me, but I am giving it a try.
I actually have tried body for life and I thought it was great. The reason being is that it focuses on realistic weight loss potential. The Icon Diet is another good program which does the same. Other diets such as Atkins focus mainly on diet and In my opinion they don't really teach you about healthy weight loss.
