| Re: Hunger and what to do
Besides providing healthy lignons and anti-oxidents, a good quality Flaxoil will help stave off hunger. Two tbsp a day should do it. one in the a.m. and one in the p.m., with meals. I like Barlean's High-Lignon Flaxoil. Store it in the refrigerator or freezer (oil doesn't freeze hard) and remember to shake it thoroughly to mix the lignons back into the oil. They separate and fall to the bottom of the bottle between use. You can't cook with flaxoil but you can either take it straight or hide it in cereal, soups, salad dressings, smoothies, etc.
If you prefer, consider eating flaxseeds instead. It takes 3 tbsp flaxseeds to equal 1 tbsp of flaxoil. The flaxseeds need to be coarsely ground as the whole seeds will slide through your digestive system.
You'll find flaxoil at the health food stores, just be sure to buy it already refrigerated or frozen as it will turn rancid if old or at room temperature.
I've been on the Fat Flush Plan (Ann Louise Gittleman) for over 2 years and I've never been hungry. Not so with other diets I've tried. I'm on phase 3 maintenance right now.
